We did the following:
5 Sets of 98 steps down, 98 steps back up (980 steps in total)
PLUS 20 Push ups in between every set (100 push ups in total)
A brisk walk to the Lighthouse then 100 Abs
A brisk walk to the next lots of even longer steps!
4 Sets of 147 steps down, 147 steps back up (1176 steps)
PLUS 20 Dips in between every set
Then a wonderful 'cool down walk' back to our caravan & Lisa's Motor home.
After 4 sets I was totally knackered! Lisa rested with me, then decided to do just one more - is it any wonder she inspires me?

What great fun that was and something I would never have done on my own. I'm so glad I put my fear of freezing cold water aside and 'just did it! Incidentally the water temperature was around 18 degrees which 'apparently' is quite warm for Portland in May. Trust me .... it was bloody cold!
It's been nearly 2 months since we did that memorable session and even though I've kept up my exercise and healthy eating plan, I think I've been in need of a big nudge and a huge push this week! In fact you could say I've almost fallen off the wagon a little bit.
Anyone want to train with me ?
I'm not sure why, but's been a week of winter comfort food and sloth - I think it's time to make this commitment public, and make this coming Monday my "no more excuses" day and get back to work!
