Journalling is a wonderful habit that I've had for many years. It's a great way to start my day and can often give me clarity on problems that I may encounter in my life.
Sometimes it's an outlet for me to just write - I'll write what I call my 'dribble' - you know 'nonsense & ramblings' that I just need to get down on paper. I'll write my 'to do' list for the day and I LOVE to see those tasks ticked off as 'done'.
Some days it's just a page - and other days it could be 4-5 pages.
So this morning I made the decision to give myself a 30 Day Challenge! Recently, I wrote a post about my unfinished "busy-ness", and at the time it had me realising that I had lots of projects on the go!
My knitting, my tapestry, my recorder practice, my book draft, my home study NLP course - lots of things to keep me 'busy' in my retirement, but some things end up on the shelf, not being forgotten, but certainly being neglected. (Like my NLP course, which I signed up for in March of this year but have not progressed very far with!).
I even put a little "reminder" in my diary for each Monday, to set time aside to "do" my NLP study, but each week the day seems to get away from me, I get busy doing 'stuff' with my husband, or relaxing, enjoying the view, being a tourist as we continue our travels..... and so the reminder gets pushed back, pushed back and it has me wondering "WHY is that?" !!
So back to the '30 Day Challenge' ! Now I figure, that by putting this 'out there' on my blog, it is going to make me more accountable . So here goes - day 1 of 'getting things done'
I hope you will indulge me and follow me on this journey! Feel free to post a comment of support or encouragement or constructive feedback! That would be fabulous, and I'd really appreciate your comments.
Thanks so much! See you all tomorrow!
