- begin my day with a meditation - (thank you Deepak Chopra !)
- quiet time with my tea & writing in my journal
- drive home safely! (especially in the wind, rain & hail)
- spend quality & loving time with my darling husband
- enjoy the afternoon reviewing my notes from the weekend's conference
This was my 'mental list' of things to do today - my 30 day challenge to myself of 'getting things done':
Day 21 - a BIG weekend, and here I am in the dark & the quiet & not sure if you'll even hear me.... BUT - I'm keeping with my commitment of 'getting things done' and so glad that I am and grateful, so very grateful for what has been an awesome weekend.
Oh dear! I think I was a little frustrated by the time I finally got my Day 20 video done. It was almost midnight, I was tired and not prepared to go to bed till I'd committed to my task of 'getting things done'!
Day 19 of my 30 day challenge to myself "getting things done & my gratitude" Totally blessed & grateful..... Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
What exactly is "Self Talk" ? It can be words, sentences even whole conversations, spoken to ourselves under our breath, or even shouted, out loud. It can be in conversation with others or sometimes just quiet mutterings to ourselves.
Our 'self-talk' can have a huge impact on our very being, on our attitude, and that attitude in turn can impact on how our day, week, month even year pans out......
I forgot to mention in my "gratitude" on the video below how grateful I am that we've had the chance to go back and spend time with the donkeys. I just love these little guys and I managed to cuddle all but one of them today - and give them a kiss - and they love it!
Have you heard of miniature cows? Yep! I saw a website the other day for miniature Galloway cows - apparently they are great grazers as they're not fussy on pasture. Anyway that's it for today, my video is below and I'll catch you again tomorrow I hope! Cheers
Success! I love it when I conquer technology! Today is day 17 and I am in a complete state of gratitude.... any wonder?! (you'll understand why when you view my video below!
The pic on the left? That's the beautiful bath - gorgeous eh!
Brevity! I know that sometimes I have a tendency to 'waffle on' (just a little!) . I remember learning from Jim Rohn many years ago, the importance of 'brevity'. So today's message is concise, short & sweet - in other words - a quickie! - and I think I need to work on brevity more often!
Till tomorrow.... Cheers!
Wow! Half way through my 30 day challenge already and today is yet another day filled with gratitude (as you'll see in my video below)
I'm feeling good because I'm 'back on track' with my exercise & nutrition after 10 days of complete self indulgence in delicious creamy blue cheeses, wine, chocolate and all things delicious that cause weight gain! Very enjoyable BUT I also felt incredibly bloated and horrible by yesterday afternoon when I 'woke up to myself' and said "Enough!" (I think I'd temporarily forgotten my own motto: all things in moderation!
Ahhh challenges and getting things done! My little uploading video challenge of yesterday seemed to pale into comparison today when my internet connection decided to go on/go off/go on/go off ..... like a Bride's nightie! Arghrrrrr Aghrrrr Grump Grump Brrrrr! OK - shake it off, shake it off ! RIGHT!
Back to calm - restore, reboot - OK let's try again! Nup nothing! Nudder! Zip! Ok so my 'getting things done' today was all about getting re-connected and learning to find patience within. Hmmm - think I finally found it, cause guess what? Once I was in a more zen state, everything started to work! Amazing!
Sunday is a lovely chill out relaxing kind of day so I'm glad my little challenges happened today and not on a 'work' kind of day! "What?" I hear you say "Arent you retired?" Well yes, retired from employment, but not retired from life! So tomorrow, Monday is still for me a 'work kind of day'
And now I have two things that I've realised I am grateful for: Lazy Sundays and getting technology to work!
